In the first quarter, China's stainless steel crude steel output increased by nearly 20% year-on-yea

On May 4th, the Stainless Steel Branch of China Special Steel Enterprise Association released the statistics of China's stainless steel crude steel production, import and export, and apparent consumption in the first quarter of 2017. 
　　In the first quarter, China's stainless steel crude steel output reached 6.225 million tons, an increase of 1.01 million tons from the first quarter of 2016, an increase of 19.38%. Among them, the output of Cr-Ni stainless steel was 3.449 million tons, an increase of 611,000 tons, an increase of 21.52%; the output of Cr-Mn stainless steel (including some products not meeting international standards) was 1.544 million tons, an increase of 218,000 tons, an increase of 16.4. %; the production of Cr-based stainless steel was 1.216 million tons, an increase of 182,000 tons, an increase of 17.57%. In addition, China's duplex stainless steel was 15,838 tons in the first quarter, an increase of 346 tons, an increase of 2.23%. 
　　In the first quarter, China imported 208,400 tons of stainless steel, an increase of 55,800 tons from the first quarter of 2016, an increase of 36.57%; China exported 915,500 tons of stainless steel, an increase of 0.56 million tons, an increase of 0.63%. 
　　In the first quarter, the apparent consumption of stainless steel in China was 4.784 million tons, an increase of 819,500 tons or 20.67% from the first quarter of 2016.
