The production process of submerged arc welding spiral steel pipe: It is a spiral seam steel pipe welded by automatic double-wire double-sided submerged arc welding process with strip steel coil as raw material, often extruded and formed at temperature.

The characteristics of the submerged arc welded spiral steel pipe: the straight seam welded pipe has simple production process, high production efficiency, low cost, and rapid development. The strength of spiral welded pipes is generally higher than that of straight seam welded pipes. A narrower blank can be used to produce welded pipes with larger pipe diameters, and a billet with the same width can be used to produce welded pipes with different pipe diameters. But compared with the straight seam pipe of the same length, the weld length is increased by 30-100%, and the production speed is lower. Therefore, most of the smaller diameter welded pipes adopt straight seam welding, and the large diameter welded pipes mostly adopt spiral welding.
Spiral pipe and its standard classification: spiral seam submerged arc welded steel pipe for pressure fluid transportation (SY5036-83) is mainly used to transport oil and natural gas pipelines; spiral seam high frequency welded steel pipe for pressure fluid transportation (SY5038-83), Spiral seam high-frequency welded steel pipe welded by high-frequency lap welding method for conveying pressure fluid. The steel pipe has strong pressure-bearing capacity and good plasticity, which is convenient for welding and processing. Generally, the spiral seam submerged arc welded steel pipe (SY5037-83) for low-pressure fluid transportation is made by double-sided automatic submerged arc welding or single-sided welding for water, Submerged arc welded steel pipe for conveying general low pressure fluids such as gas, air and steam
The commonly used standards for submerged arc welding spiral steel pipes are generally divided into: SY/T5037-2000 (Ministry Standard), GB/T9711.1-1997 (National Standard), API-5L (American Petroleum Institute)
