Straight seam steel pipe is a type of welded steel pipe. According to the production process, straight seam steel pipes can be divided into high-frequency straight seam steel pipes and submerged arc welded straight seam steel pipes. Submerged arc welded straight seam steel pipes are divided into UOE, RBE and JCOE steel pipes according to different forming methods.

The production process of straight seam welded pipe is simple, the production efficiency is high, the cost is low, and the development is rapid. Welded pipes with larger diameters can be produced from narrower blanks, or welded pipes of different diameters can be produced from blanks of the same width. However, compared with a straight pipe of the same length, the weld length is increased by 30% to 100%, and the production speed is low.

In addition to direct use, straight seam steel pipes can also be processed according to construction purposes. Related processing methods include forged steel, extrusion, rolling, drawn steel, etc. The forged steel is pressed by a machine to squeeze the blank into the shape and size we need. Extrusion processing is mostly used in the production of non-ferrous metal steel. Generally, the steel placed in the extrusion barrel is extruded by pressure from one side, and then extruded through the die hole. Rolling and drawing steel changes the cross-section and length of straight seam steel pipe.

Application of Straight Seam Steel Pipe:

Straight seam steel pipes are mainly used in water supply engineering, petrochemical industry, chemical industry, electric power industry, agricultural irrigation, urban construction and other industries.

- Liquid transportation: water supply, drainage

- Gas transportation: gas, steam, liquefied petroleum gas

- Structural uses: piling pipes, bridges; used in docks, roads, building structures, etc.
