We know that stainless steel seamless tube have high quality requirements for seamless pipes under high temperature and high pressure.


Cracks in the pipe, due to improper machining process during production, may lead to improper rolling or drawing die setting, folding, warping, scratching or strain, surface and internal defects, etc. In order to ensure the quality of seamless steel tubes, according to the relevant technical standards of the products, the seamless steel pipe production line requires surface and internal nondestructive testing. Commonly used eddy current testing and magnetic flux leakage detection technology.


Eddy current detection is an electromagnetic induction based on a nondestructive testing method. It drives a sinusoidal excitation probe coil, when the probe is close to the seamless surface, the induction current produced by the induction electromotive force, that is, the eddy in the alternating magnetic field around the circle. Snail and feeling produce the magnetic field on the coil, thus changing the electrical parameters of the coil.


The loss resistance of the eddy current channel and the reverse flux produced by the eddy current are also reflected in the coil of the probe, which changes the size and phase of the current in the coil, thus changing the impedance of the coil. When the probe is moved on the surface of the seamless steel tube, the relative defects are encountered, which makes the eddy current magnetic field of the coil react and cause the change of the coil impedance, thus measuring the variation and determining the defect on the surface of the seamless steel tube.
